Check out my latest adventures on Instagram!

Days 2 & 3 involved 2 new hikes. Moving logs to help people understand which trail is actually the correct trail, hearing a HUGE tree fall, then finding it not far from where we were, a solo hike into a grove of aspens to find a pond, talking to a lot of people, and using my red light therapy pad every evening so I can do it all over again the next day! 😃

😃 Good first day at the trailhead. This booth thing reminds me of all my days working sign-ups in the plaza. We have a map table and an interp/swag table. Did a hike of the Aspen Loop and came back with a forgotten and broken sled to go in the dumpster. When I got “home”, Gannon had a nice local brew waiting for me. 😃 Did a great acclimatization hike today! Drove down into the valley for a wonderful sleepover Mother’s Day weekend. 💐 Yesterday afternoon we did a good acclimating hike. Fatman’s Loop (2.4 mi), but was 3.5 mi for us since we hiked from our campsite. With 750 ft elevation gain, it was a nice workout. Had a chilly hike/walk this morning at Campbell Mesa. What a great area in town and close to where we are. Lots of loops to do. Walking, running, hiking, and biking. Great way for us to acclimate. Rolling hills with not a lot of climbing. We will definitely be back often. 👍🏻🥾 Enjoying my last week of fitness classes here. They have been kicking my butt! Looking forward to coming back in October and jumping back in. 💪🏻 Just got back from an overnight recon trip to Flagstaff. Got my first look at Humphrey’s Peak. It’s the peak I will be working and hiking all summer. The trail is still covered in a lot of snow and actually still a part of the ski resort. No hiking on that for a while! 😱
